That one hour!
An hour with Dr. Kiran Bedi Ma'am
Her eyes speak volumes with love and compassion,
adding purpose to the simple; and bringing meaning to every action.
Before I pen down this most precious moment of my life to be read and savored when I grow old and look back to some cherishing experiences of my life, I am grateful to another lovely lady from her team Ms. Monica Dhawan, who made it possible for us to meet her and make this moment a history to remember and relish its taste for life.
Another greater reason that made this day possible is my organization I work with that gave me the platform to represent myself as its part and explore synergies to work with Kiran Ma'am for her initiatives. I'm blessed and grateful for working where I am today. My Boss with whom I have learned and grown together both as a person and in profession was making the entire experience more wholesome and fulfilled in his presence. Nisha was a blessing to come with her positive vibes in the surrounding.
Coming to Kiran Ma'am, The lady who has set a legacy for the nation through her intent and action visible to me on screen, newspapers and magazines since the day I was born. The lady whose example is shared by almost every parent while raising their daughters. The lady who is symbolic of Power, Character, Values and Charisma. Yes, the same lady, I was experiencing her presence right in front of me, next to me and around me.
It was a moment of trance for me, as if I was dreaming the reality. Her aura and the poise in her personality was so visible and felt through her loving eyes. They express so much. I could only feel this when I met her in person. The eyes that talks volume without uttering a word. The eyes filled with love, values, care and compassion and when she started to speak, every word of hers was routing towards almighty and its decisions for us. Gratitude and Cause, Godliness and Conviction, Meaning and Purpose was reflected to anything she was speaking or expressing through her eyes.
Such a grounded person. The way she treats every person with the eyes of equality and oneness is so heartfelt. Going to the detailing of things around her. Trying to understand the perspective from 360 degree, quick decision making, art of communicating, adding long-term vision to every action, adding value to the life of others were all visible during that conversation that stayed for an hour. These traits are not only useful for any of us to improve ourselves as a person but of great help in improving our interpersonal relationships.
The softness of her hands was a feeling of a motherly touch that is blessing her children to be good human first to achieve anything in life. I had not dreamt this ever that a day will come when I will read her morning nutrition quote sitting next to her as she religiously do this as a morning ritual on LinkedIn. . she read it thrice with us that day in her loud charismatic voice, I quote ''There are glimpses of heaven to us in every act, or thought, or word, that raises us above ourselves."
I was feeling this actually as if there is a ceremony in air, receiving blessings from heaven having an angel sitting and supporting our initiative for a cause, To work together as two organizations with us as the key responsibility holders to make sure we do the best for which we have come together. This sounds so purposeful and deep.
That hour filled with our excitement, her open heart, friendliness, lovely smile and laughter concluded with a token of love she presented to three of us that is her book 'Fearless Governance'.
